Of Mice and Men: Poem and Essential Questions

We finished our review today by looking at the Robert Burns poem “To a Mouse.” Here’s a reading of the poem:

We talked about why Steinbeck might have named his book after a line from this poem. We then examined the essential questions for the book, which is found on the Of Mice and Men page on the class wiki.

I’ll be looking to see that you explain quotes from the book from the framework of these questions.

I would begin studying for the test by looking at the following resources:

  • Notes that you took in class, especially considering background information on the book
  • The class wiki
  • The class blog — to review topics that we covered these past few weeks
  • The Robert Burns poem we discussed
  • The essential questions for the book
