We began class grouping into whichever option we were thinking of pursuing when it came to the expository essay paper. We discussed recent events in The Alchemist based on the paper topics:
- What stage is Santiago in now?
- What omens has he seen?
- What obstacles has he encountered?
Your rough draft — which should be e-mailed to me on Tuesday, Oct. 9 — should have at least three supporting paragraphs. EACH supporting paragraph needs textual support from 1) plot 2) characters and 3) quotes. AND you will get extra credit for saving it as an RTF file and naming the file according to my directions.
The final draft of your paper is due Monday, Oct. 15.
